PRESCOTT MASCOTT

This is Eyarth Cherokee commonly known as Chez.
Chez is the centres Mascot and he will appear everywhere on this site!!
Chez belongs to Zoe (my daughter) and although Zoe is 29 years old and he is very small, she still comes home to ride him.
He is now 24 years old and has been at Prescott almost all his life.
He is 12.2hh Welsh Mountain and was a top quality show pony in his day.
We have done public displays at various shows and Chez always leads out the big horses.
Chez is now in retirement. Sadly he suffers with 'cushings' so looks very scruffy especially as his favourite passtime is rolling in the mud so it is very hard to imagine him being a top class show pony now!! However he is quite happy and is a very good companion pony.

 MISCELLANEOUS

THE MOUSE CATCHERS

Andy Cat is a beautiful black cat who is now just over one year old. He came to Prescott last summer with his brother Felix as kittens as we had a serious vermin problem and we thought cats were a better option than other pest control methods. We reared both kittens successfully but sadly Felix got killed on the road in October which left poor Andy really sad and lonley. By chance one of my employees, Sarah, knew of an abandoned kitten who needed a home so we decided to take the kitten which we named Molly. She was the tiniest kitten I had ever seen and Andy was really not quite sure whether he wanted her as a replacement for his brother! However Molly was very bold and kept annoying Andy until eventually they became friends.
Andy is an amazing mouse catcher and with the help of Roby, a young cat belonging to Becci (a member of staff ) they have completly removed the problem we had last year.
Molly does not do much in the way of catching mice, she is more interested in people and spends her time annoying Andy.
Diversification
When we first had the kittens they were so popular with the children that I did think it may have been more viable to get rid of the horses and have a kitten farm instead!

This is Mikki the Lakeside House Cat.

Mikki was also a rescued kitten at the age of 2 weeks. He is truely a ferral cat as we knew of his ferral parents.  He came from Brogyntyn Hall. We used to feed the ferral cats when they appeared.  Mikki  used to follow his mother when she came for food until she abandoned  him. We found him on the roadside and with the help of the vet nursed him back to health and successfully reared him.  Mikki is still  very scared of people so you are unlikely to see him around the yard but he is well domesticated now if still somewhat nervous of strangers. Mikki is an excellent Mouse catcher as well as Rabbits!!  We constantly have to rescue them after he has carefully brought them into the house proudly to show them to us.
He is a very beautiful cat.
